Igor Nesterenko.

// currently System Analyst

I make systems legible — then ship them. Eight years turning ambiguous business goals into specified, delivered systems across e-commerce, logistics, SaaS, CRM and ERP. On one logistics platform I led a team of seven to a working MVP in six months — after twelve months of prior delay. Recently: 30+ security audits, a 5M-record data reconciliation and an ERP integration across Dynamics 365 and Sage 200.

02 — About

A translator between business intent and technical execution.

I'm a System Analyst and IT delivery professional based in Bristol, UK with the full right to work. My career has been a deliberate stack: requirements engineering, system design, hands-on delivery, and cross-functional leadership across UK, EU and US-facing products.

The thread through every role is the same — taking complex, often stalled product situations, mapping them clearly, and getting them shipped. Recent proof points: 30+ security audits, a 5M+ record data reconciliation, an ERP integration spanning custom software, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Sage 200, and a four-month legacy-system transition. I work fluently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, in Agile, Waterfall, V-Model or hybrid delivery.

I hold an Advanced Diploma (Honours) in IT Systems Analysis & Design from the University of Oxford and am extending into ethical hacking and cybersecurity through a part-time MSc at Abertay University. Day to day, I run an AI-assisted delivery practice — production workflows built with Cursor, Claude Code and automated QA — which keeps the toolkit as current as the credentials.

Systems & Analysis

SDLC, process mapping, UML and legacy frameworks (SSADM, JSM). Data reconciliation, ERP integration and turning messy operations into documented, maintainable systems.

Cross-functional Leadership

Led teams up to 15 — developers, DevOps, UX, analysts. Backlog ownership, UAT, release planning and stakeholder communication.

Compliance & Security

30+ security audits, GDPR (UK & EU), risk identification and baseline controls — now formalised through an MSc in Ethical Hacking & Cybersecurity.

Recovery & Delivery

Specialty: inheriting stalled products and shipping them. Delivered an MVP in 6 months after 12+ months of prior delay.

03 — How I work

Principles I ship by.

The operating habits behind the delivery — what I default to when a project gets hard.

01

Documentation first

If it isn't written down, it isn't agreed. Clear specs and decision records keep teams aligned long after the kickoff energy fades.

02

Find the spine, cut the rest

Every product has one end-to-end path that creates real value. I build that first and treat everything else as a branch to add later.

03

Ship the 80%, then iterate

A working slice in front of real users beats a perfect plan on a slide. Momentum and feedback compound; polish can follow.

04

Make delivery visible

One honest view of what's done, what's next and what's deliberately deferred. Visibility is what rebuilds trust on a stalled project.

04 — Capabilities

A working toolkit, not a buzzword list.

Methodologies, tools and technical depth I actively use in delivery. Hover anywhere — every chip is something I've shipped with.

07 — Beyond the work

The person behind the delivery.

🌍

A deliberate path

From chemistry and philology in Ukraine to IT delivery in the UK. Three languages, several industries, and a habit of learning the domain before changing it.

🤝

Giving time back

Volunteering with Oxfam and an environmental charity in the South West — applying the same systems thinking to causes I care about.

🔐

Always extending

Currently studying ethical hacking and cybersecurity at MSc level — because the best analysts understand how systems fail, not just how they're built.
